Virtual Classroom - MPI Accredited Person Training
Our new virtual classroom training is an interactive course with one of our trainers in real-time. You are able to ask our trainers questions, have discussions with your fellow classmates and interact just as you would in a standard classroom course, all from the comfort of your own home.
You must have a computer or laptop with a web cam and speakers or headphones to be able to log on and complete this course. You must also have access to Zoom as this is a Zoom course.
- MPI requires all facilities importing sea containers to have one or more Accredited Persons available. APs are responsible for inspecting containers, supervising their unpacking, containing any biosecurity threats found and reporting to MPI.
Please Note: If you are completing this course for the first time you must complete our Online Biosecurity Awareness training prior to completing this course, however you are able to register for both courses at the same time.
Online Training - MPI Accredited Person Training
Online Training is only available if you hold a current MPI certificate. New trainee's must train via traditional classroom.
At the front line of the Biosecurity chain, keeping New Zealand free from unwanted pests and diseases, are trained Accredited Persons (APs). APs are responsible for checking and managing contamination risks associated with imported sea containers.
IVS provides the necessary refresher training, for you to maintain your accreditation, all done online. This means that you can train online in your own time, anywhere with internet access.
