The Health and Safety at Work Act (2015) "recognises that a well-functioning health and safety system relies on participation, leadership, and accountability by government, business and workers." This means that everyone has a role to play in protecting workers and others from harm to their health, safety, and welfare from work. That is why it is important for workers and employers to understand how the Act relates to them and to their roles in the workplace.
This course is designed to introduce the Act and explain how workers and managers can apply this knowledge practically in the workplace. The course also covers effective hazard and risk management and an overview of accident reporting and investigation.
This course is separated into three modules delivered in a half-day training format:
- Introduction to the Health and Safety at Work Act (2015)
- Effective hazard and risk management
- Accident reporting and investigation
